Health requirements from the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia requires all Umrah and Hajj travelers to be vaccinated with:
Meningitis Vaccination - ACYW135 strain
Yellow Fever vaccination
Please consult your doctor for any additional information .
In addition, please take extra precaution in Makkah due to the extreme dust as a result of continuous construction.

FIT FOR HAJJ PROGRAMME being hosted by ITHEKO Athletic Club
The Fit for Haj sessions takes place Mondays and Wednesday evenings at the Itheko Club premises in Willow Road Observatory. Hujaaj who are older than 45 will first be assessed by one of the two capable doctors.

The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) is pleased to announce that in the interest of Hajji choice of Hajj Operator, we have extended the deadline to choose an operator to the 26th April 2013.
The due date to accept accreditation remains as the 5th April 2013.
The final date by which contracts must be concluded and signed is extended to the 10th May 2013 insha ALLAH.

The below process has to be followed by the Accredited Hujjaaj:
- Hajjis will check their status online using their ID and PIN numbers
- Hajji will verify their 1st time Hajji status
- If they are accredited, they must either accept or reject accreditation
- Hajjis have ten calendar days to accept or reject accreditation from the release date
- SAHUC will announce when the 2nd leg of the accreditation process will commence – that is the choice of Hajj Operator.
In the second process, the following will be done:
- The accredited hajji who have accepted accreditation will log on and choose a Hajj Operator
- Once the choice is made, the Hajji will be sent a message from SAHUC to pay the SAHUC fees to our FNB bank account within 72 Hours
- If the hajji fails to comply with this payment process, his / her accreditation will be revoked.
- The hajji’s details will flow down to the Hajj Operator portal once payment is received and recorded.
- The hajji will now have to conclude his / her contract with the selected hajj operator within ten calendar days of selecting the Hajj Operator.
Hajjis will not be allowed to be transferred between operators after they have concluded their contracts. Any hajji who does not have a contract concluded within the stipulated time may also lose their accreditation.
